Save the dates of Aug. 17 and 18 for our annual Elim Rummage Sale! Donations are now being accepted. Please be sure they are clean, in working order, and mildew/mold-free. Because of our limited storage space, we request that all large items/furniture be held until closer to the August sale. Please note: mattresses, hide-a-beds, and large appliances will not be accepted this year. Be watching for ways you can be involved (sorting/pricing donations, setting up, working the sale, cleaning up).
You are invited to join us for Coffee and Conversation on Wednesdays at 9 a.m. This gathering is open to all and is a wonderful way to continue Sunday morning fellowship conversations, catch up on happenings in and around the building, and discuss life in general. We meet in the Fireside Room for hot coffee and warming conversation. We look forward to welcoming you!
For years our faith community has supported Helpline, our local food bank, with our donations. An average of 200 pounds were received annually.
To build on this ministry, in the fall of 2016 we became more focused with our giving and began doing “Food on the First.” People are invited to take home a designated bag, put one, two or more food items in it (there’s a shopping list of suggestions available), and bring it to church by the first Sunday of the month. Bags are placed in the chancel area and blessed during worship. Donations are then taken to Helpline during the week.
Our next “Food on the First” blessing will be Sunday, Aug. 4 – your bag of donations may be brought anytime and placed in the Helpline area of the church entrance area.
Thank you for your generosity!
